COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT BOOT CAMP

How do I sign up now?

Go to the registration page and fill out the registration form. At the end of the registration process, please follow the payment instructions to pay using your VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, or PAYPAL account. Once we've received your registration information, you will receive your Adventure Boot Camp Welcome Packet with boot camp information and directions to your camp site.

What is the Pre-Camp Evaluation?

The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:

  1. We will give you an introduction to Adventure Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have.
  2. We will use our Futrex body composition machine to give you a comprehensive look at your current level of health. It's strictly for a point of reference so you can see your results from pre-evaluation to post-evaluation. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.  It?s a quick, non-invasive process (no poking or pinching here) that takes only a few minutes.
  3. Expect to see a 3-5% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks!  Remember, the more consistent you are the better your results will be!
  4. We will make sure you know how to get to boot camp in the morning.
  5. See you at camp!

I see that a particular camp just started!  I just found out about it. Can I still join?

If the camp session is not already full, then you may join us through the first Friday of that particular camp.  Just fill out the registration form, and let us know that you want to join the camp already in session. 

If you find that the currently offered sessions are already full, you may have to wait until the next boot camp begins (usually no more than 5 weeks). But don't wait to sign up - you don't want to be left behind again!

One on One CoachingWhat do I need to bring to camp?

You will need to bring one set of five, or eight-pound hand weights and any type of exercise mat (You can get both of these at any local Target or Wal-Mart type store). You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter.  Dress in layers and even if it is chilly don?t worry - you will get warm very fast!  And always bring a good attitude!

What if I sign up for the three day plan and then want to do more days of the camp?

After starting boot camp, many women realize how fun and convenient it is so they request to sign up for more days. In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp, the greater the results. In these situations, you will simply be pro-rated from the point you decide to join us for more days. Just let us know!

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are women just like you. They range in age from 18 to 60. Some are ready to exercise again for the first time in a long time, and some are competitive runners looking to train for the next race. Some are looking to slim down and tone up, and some need to gain weight. Some have had surgeries, setbacks or recent new additions to their family. They are a group of women who want something better for themselves through a proven, certified fitness program. They want results, they want to feel great, they want to reclaim their energy, feel attractive and be the very best they can be. These women are looking to jumpstart their fitness and get fast results. They are determined and committed, and many admit they were scared to sign up and get started, but later were SO glad they did!

 

What is the cost (investment in myself)?

Each four-week boot camp has a registration fee of $299 for 20 hours of instruction! That's just $14.95 per hour!  Where else can you get premiere and cutting edge fitness instruction for that incredible price?  Personal trainers can typically charge $75-$150 per hour for their services. This is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified personal trainer for just a fraction of the cost. You truly cannot put a price on your health, self esteem and the confidence you will gain from North Houston Adventure Boot Camp. If you look at what you will save in medical bills down the road or having to buy larger size clothing or lost opportunities due to your health, $14.95 for an hour of empowerment is priceless.

 

Other Options:

The Adventure Boot Camp Program is designed to be done 5 days per week. However, there is a 3 day option as well. The 5 day program includes all 20 sessions and is the best way to jump start your fitness and see dramatic improvements. The 3 day per week program is also beneficial and is especially good for those who are real beginners, are working with injuries or who complement boot camp with other activities. The 3 day a week program is $199 and and you can choose whichever days of the week are most convenient with your schedule. (Evening camp is three set evenings per week listed on our calendar page )

Is there a refund policy?

There is a NO REFUND and NO ROLL-OVER POLICY. The only exception is due to a medical condition proven by a doctor's note, whereupon you can receive a credit for days missed toward a future camp.

What is a typical day like at camp?

That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect mat work, some running (less than 1 mile), weight training, circuit training, and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will play competitive but lighthearted games for prizes. It's always an Adventure, and you'll always have fun!  North Houston Adventure Boot Camp coaches teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. You will feel less bloated and more energetic in the first week. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level and complimenting your workouts with healthful eating. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dress sizes within the first camp.  Remember, everyone is different!

What will I do after camp is over?

You will get tested with the Futrex body composition machine to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers enjoy the program so much, they never leave.

Is there a discount for returning campers?

Yes! Up to 80% of our boot campers are returners, and we love it! One way we show our appreciation for return campers is by offering a discount to North Houston Adventure Boot Camp veterans! That's right! Once you have completed a four-week boot camp at our excellent regular rate, we'll offer you even better than that - you will pay only $269 for a five-day boot camp or only $179 for a three-day boot camp! Once you've completed one fitness boot camp at our excellent regular rate, you are officially a returning boot camper, and you pay the discount rate for every boot camp you attend after that - Yes, that means forever! We value our veteran boot campers, and look forward to having you back in camp again and again, watching you shed those inches and tone those muscles!

(Offer applies to participation in July 2009 camp or after. The participant attends one four-week camp at the regular camp rate, then receives the returner discount for every four-week boot camp session thereafter)
