What is the North Houston Adventure Boot Camp for Women?

A four-week outdoor program of fitness boot camp instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training. You will be inspired and have fun while participating in a fantastic workoutwith like-minded women, led by Certified Adventure Fitness Coaches.  This is the only fitness boot camp exclusive to women in the north Houston area.  Each day, camp will be one hour in length and start exactly at the appointed start time on the calendar page.

What if I'm not very physically fit?

Nobody will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. Nor will anybody go home unchallenged! Adventure Boot Camp meets you at your fitness level by timing each segment of exercise instead of counting repetitions. Whether your level is four push-ups of forty you will fit right in! Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. If you have participated in any type of exercise regimen, you are ready for boot camp! Each day will slightly increase in intensity. You will inspire and be inspired by others.

What types of exercises are included in the program?

Boot Camp Exercises include: core conditioning, short distance running (less than one mile), lunges, muscular strength, jumping rope, circuit training, obstacle courses, push-ups, games, surprises, and more!

How often will we meet?

Morning participants will meet every Monday through Friday for one hour during the four-week program. Evening participants meet three days per week.  See the Calendar for specific evening camp days.  All participants will be asked to arrive on time.

See our annual calendar.  Currently, camps meet at Lonestar/Montgomery College in The Woodlands, The Falls in Imperial Oaks, Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church, Stewart Creek Elementary in Montgomery, and our evening camp takes place in Shenandoah Park - The Woodlands.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring one set of five or eight pound hand weights and any type of exercise mat (You can get both of these at any local Target or Wal-Mart type stores). You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter. Dress in layers and even if it is chilly don?t worry you will get warm very fast!  And, of course, always bring a good attitude!

You will make a dramatic improvement in your physical and mental well-being through your boot camp workouts. Morning campers will be finished with your training before the rest of the world has even gotten started!  When you follow camp with a healthy meal and hot shower, you will feel unstoppable.  Evening campers love the time to de-stress from the demands of the day and sleep better at night.  This fitness boot camp goes so much further than the weight you will lose and the lean muscle you will gain. What is the cost (investment in myself)?

Each four-week fitness boot camp has a registration fee of $299 for 20 hours of instruction! That's just $14.95 per hour!  Where else can you get premiere or cutting-edge fitness instruction for that incredible price?  Personal trainers can typically charge $75-$150 per hour for their services. This is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a certified fitness instructor for just a fraction of the cost. You truly cannot put a price on your health, self-esteem and the confidence you will gain from North Houston Adventure Boot Camp. Other Options:

The Adventure Boot Camp Program is designed to be experienced 5 days per week. However, there is a 3 day option as well. The 5 day program includes all 20 sessions and is the best way to jumpstart your fitness and see dramatic improvements. The 3 day per week program is also beneficial and is especially good for those who are real beginners, are working with injuries or who complement boot camp with other activities. The 3 day a week program is $199 and and you can choose whichever days of the week are most convenient with your schedule. (Evening camp is 3 set evenings per week listed on our calendar page)

We are now accepting registrations for the next fitness boot camp. Once we receive your registration and payment, you will receive a welcome e-mail with details of your upcoming camp experience. More information will follow regarding pre-evaluations dates and times.


Is there a discount for returning campers?

Yes! Up to 80% of our boot campers are returners, and we love it! One way we show our appreciation for return campers is by offering a discount to North Houston Adventure Boot Camp veterans! That's right! Once you have completed a four-week fitness boot camp at our excellent regular rate, we'll offer you even better than that - you will pay only $269 for a five-day boot camp or only $179 for a three-day boot camp! Once you've completed one boot camp at our excellent regular rate, you are officially a returning boot camper, and you pay the discount rate for every boot camp you attend after that - Yes, that means forever! We value our veteran boot campers, and look forward to having you back in camp again and again, watching you shed those inches and tone those muscles through daily unique and challenging boot camp workouts!

(Offer applies to participation in July 2009 camp or after. The participant attends one four-week camp at the regular camp rate, then receives the returner discount for every four-week boot camp session thereafter)

What North Houston Adventure Boot Camp is NOT:

A militaristic style format where you will be humiliated.  An overly competitive environment where you will be pushed beyond your abilities.
